othAuth 0.5.2

Posted in CakePHP by othy on December 21, 2006

This is just a minor-bugs-fixing version + support for the newly introduced lazy model loading, as always you can find the component and the helper here. I updated the docs too.

  • Fixed a bug in getData ( both in the component and the helper)
  • Fixed a bug related to the ‘/’ route
  • Added lazy model loading support

The latter affects othAuth because it creates the models within the component.

Can you please give an example of nao mode? In the tutorial you have group_id in user table, so I wonder how you make a user belongs to many groups?

    Hi CrazyLegs / oth!

First, I just want to say it is great you have written othAuth and also have been very active on the Cake group and IRC and this blog too.

I have been trying to get othAuth up and running, but I have done this using the 0.5.2 code pasted in bakery – where I had to copy – paste the code, as the download links do not work. I followed your tutorial there, but I am having a few problems. It is confusing trying to start it all with code that might be for the wrong version!

Do you have a copy of the beginners tutorial that was on the wiki? Do you know where I can find it?

I am worried I am using wrong code version maybe or, wrong Cake, also I do not understand the way it integrates default with the admin routes of Cake itself. I hope that makes sense! Please email me if you can help or reply here. Thanks

    Luke

Thanks, this works very nicely. I had it up and running in 20 minutes (after finding the correct version — this needs updated on Cake Snippets)
